The worst time to find a problem in a program is when the machine is already running it. By then you have burned a sheet, some machine time, and occasionally a tool. Everybody who runs a CNC has a story about it.
Plenty of software will show you a toolpath. Usually it is a flat set of lines floating in space, disconnected from the machine that has to run it. It tells you the path exists. It does not tell you what the job is going to look like on your table.
So we built the run instead. The sheet sits on a 3D model of a machine, with your origin points, so what you are watching is how it will actually lay out on the floor. Press play and the job runs. The material comes off as it gets cut, so you watch the parts appear the way they will appear. Move the camera to the operator position, ride the gantry, or sit on the head and watch the bit work.
The readout runs alongside it. Active tool, diameter, spindle speed, feed, chip load, and where the head is right now. You can scrub to any point in the program, or speed up the feed and rapids when you just want to get through it. It also tells you the total run time and splits out how much of that is cutting versus how much is spent in the air, which is worth knowing before you quote a job or plan a day around it.
Run it, watch it, fix what needs fixing. Then send it to the machine knowing what it is going to do.
