Appliance Info & 3D Generator

Show accurate appliances without hunting for a model.

Everyone wants appliances on their drawings, but nobody wants to spend thirty minutes finding a model, cleaning it up, and fighting to import it. Grainwork generates a 3D model from product page images so you can show the real appliance.

Why this matters for your shop

Using AI on manufactured parts is tricky, and honestly it should be. A cabinet part has to be right. There is no room for a hallucination when the thing gets cut and built. That is not where we point AI.

An appliance is different. Everybody wants to show appliances on their drawings, but an appliance is not a critical manufactured part you are building. It is a reference. So why burn half an hour hunting for a model? Look up the appliance, find the manufacturer site, check if they even have CAD, dig through the SketchUp 3D Warehouse, then fight a model that is too heavy or too complex to import cleanly. Thirty minutes later, maybe you have something usable.

Grainwork skips all of that. Point it at an appliance and it generates a 3D model from the product page images, then sizes it to fit the appliance container so it drops onto your drawings looking right. From thirty minutes per appliance to under one.

The trick is good source images. Pick a clean front image and a clean image for the 3D view and it works great. In the video you will notice a slight red blur in the bottom right, that is a sale stamp on the front image I used on purpose, so you can see what happens with a less than perfect source. Choose good images and you will not see it.

Pair this with AI rendering and you have a tremendously faster way to show the exact appliances a client is getting. This is still a work in progress, and the generator will keep getting better, but it already changes the workflow.

I did not have this planned at the start. When I saw what was possible, I could not wait to build it. It is one of those switch-over features, the kind you cannot do anywhere else that I know of, at least until someone copies us. We hope to have a lot of them.
